What It’s All About
Engaging over 20,000 audience members annually, the MJCCA’s Arts & Culture Department has a strong history of bringing the community together to share a passion for Jewish culture, literature, theater, dance, music, visual arts, and culinary arts. With state of the art sound and light equipment, the MJCCA’s 253-seat Morris & Rae Frank Theatre provides the ideal intimate setting for audiences to enjoy the MJCCA’s vast array of top-notch cultural arts performances.
Examples of recent productions include:
• Musical events: Matisyahu, Kenny Loggins, Maccabeats, Andy Stratman Trio, Jeffrey Siegel, Joe Alterman, Baladino, and more
• Literary events: Judy Blume, Alan Dershowitz, Thomas Friedman, Kristen Hannah, Alice Hoffman, James Patterson, Jonathan Safran Foer, Daniel Silva, and more
• Children’s Theatre Productions – From Head to Toe, Moon Mouse, Fancy Nancy, The Reluctant Dragon, and more (in partnership with Alliance Theatre, Lightwire Theater, Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, etc.)
• Comedy: Upright Citizens Brigade and MODI
• MJCCA Dance Company: Alice in Wonderland Ballet, Young Choreographers Workshop, FLOAT
• MJCCA Jerry’s Habima Theatre: Wizard of Oz, Shrek, Aladdin, and more

Donors will have the opportunity to work with the MJCCA Director of Arts & Culture to select a cultural arts performer relevant to the MJCCA’s mission.
