Lion of Judah Endowment Event

Join your fellow Lions of Judah to hear from special guest, Suzy Wilner. Learn about the power and potential of endowing your Lion of Judah gift from a panel of three brilliant Atlanta women. We will also deliver a kosher catered lunch right to your door so you can enjoy this time together.

Suzy Wilner

Born and raised in Atlanta, Suzanne (Suzy) Bunzl Wilner attended North Fulton High School (now North Atlanta High). As a college student, she attended University of Georgia, DeKalb College (now Georgia Perimeter), and earned her BA from Georgia State University. Before her daughter was born, Suzy worked for Davidson’s (now Macy’s) and was a Certified Travel Agent. Currently, Suzy serves on the Board of Directors of Jewish Family and Career Services and Hadassah Ketura. Her hobbies are reading (she belongs to several book clubs), tennis, and going to the gym. A long-time community supporter, Suzy has been affiliated with Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta for more than 30 years.

Christy Butler Eckoff

Christy Butler Eckoff is the Chief Foundation Officer and Managing Director of the Atlanta Jewish Foundation. Christy is an expert on charitable estate planning, gift planning, asset-based giving, laws surrounding nonprofits, private foundations, supporting organizations, donor-advised funds, and nonprofit taxation. Christy is currently on the board of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP), and the Association of Fundraising Professionals National PAC board. Christy graduated from Duke University, earned her J.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Washington. Christy is a CAP® Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy.

Lisa Haynor

Until December 2020, Lisa Haynor was a Tax Partner at Aprio, LLP, specializing in Professional Services. Lisa worked with her clients to achieve success in both personal and business planning. Since retiring from her paid job, Lisa continues to work in the community as Treasurer of JFGA, Board and Finance member at The Davis Academy, Finance Committee member at The Breman Jewish Home, and Exec committee at the Jewish Women’s Fund of Atlanta. Additionally, Lisa is enjoying more time with her four grandchildren and on the tennis court.

Eydie Koonin

After moving to Georgia, Eydie Kooninfound herself one of only four Jewish students at Dunwoody High School in 1975. After attending Emory University for only one year due to financial constraints, Eydie entered the work force and found success as a commissioned salesperson. In 2008, Eydie took a leap of faith and became a real estate agent. Last year she was the #3 individual agent in the Buckhead office of Atlanta Fine Homes, Sotheby’s International Realtors. A long-time committed volunteer, Eydie helped name and revision The Atlanta Jewish Foundation. Currently, she serves as the Chair of In The City Camps, a Jewish Home Life Foundation Board Member, an Epstein School Board Member, a JELF Board Member and Co-Chair of JELF’s Loan Program Committee. Married to Steve for 36 years, they have two married children, one granddaughter and another granddaughter due this summer.
