Each year, in addition to supporting ongoing programs through the Partners Fund, Federation’s Targeted Philanthropy opportunities let you invest in new and well-established priority projects for our community. This is a great way to designate funds to specific needs.
Current initiatives include:
AgeWell Atlanta is a collaborative partnership between Federation, JF&CS, Jewish HomeLife and MJCCA that helps older adults and caregivers find guidance, information and resources to navigate the aging process. As Atlanta’s 65+ population is forecast to double in the next ten years, this is a great way to support a critical need and ensure that our community is prepared with the needed infrastructure.
Jewish Abilities Alliance provides resources and support to enable people with disabilities to more fully participate in all that Jewish Atlanta offers. Visit the Jewish Abilities Alliance page to find resources for individuals with diverse abilities.
Jewish Camp Initiative creates scholarships to help to create lifelong connections while building Jewish community and continuity. When you invest in Jewish overnight camping, you invest in a gift that truly keeps on giving.
Innovation Fund serves as a community catalyst to get things started and keep the community moving forward – it’s a way for your dollars to invest in innovative, new initiatives. It’s where changemakers can apply for funding, tools and guidance to turn their idea to enrich Jewish life into a reality. Through grants both small and large, the fund helps to create the future of the Atlanta Jewish Community and sustain efforts and organizations, both old and new, that are already working to move the community forward.
PJ Library sends free Jewish children’s books to families every month, bringing Jewish ideas to children and helping to solidify their Jewish identity. Our robust PJ Connector program also helps young families throughout Greater Atlanta connect with others in their neighborhoods around shared values and life stages.
