Given the rising threat of terrorism and antisemitism, every Jewish school, synagogue, summer camp, and organization in the Greater Atlanta area needs good security protocols. Federation’s Community-Wide Security Program (CSW) has helped many local Jewish organizations asses their vulnerabilities and secure major funding to protect and “harden” their facilities. The Non-Profit Security Grant Program (NSGP) of the Department of Homeland Security allocates funds to nonprofits to install target hardening physical assets such as electric gates, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.
$450,000 in grants awarded locally with Federation guidance
70% increase in NSGP awards since 2015
