As a community and as a people, we have a responsibility not only to our local Atlanta community, but also to our international brothers and sisters. We all have a responsibility for Jews all over the world, no matter how far away they are. Your Federation supports the community at-large in Israel and everywhere. Additionally, to create deeper and more meaningful connections, the Atlanta community has two sister cities: Yokneam-Megiddo, Israel and Minsk, Belarus. Caring for and connecting to our community, even those we don’t know, is integral to Jewish life and Federation’s work. You give young people opportunities for education, camps, counseling, and social programs. You give aging, impoverished Jews comfort and security with medical and financial assistance, homecare, and social support. You also help victims of domestic violence, terrorism, and persecution build new lives.

Helping Jews Worldwide

As a community and as a people, we have a responsibility not only to our local Atlanta community, but also to our international brothers and sisters. We all have a responsibility for Jews all over the world, no matter how far away they are. Your Federation supports the community at-large in Israel and everywhere.

Missions

From the food pantries of Atlanta to the homes of resettled refugees in Israel, mission trips enable Federation supporters to experience the impact of their generosity — and the need — firsthand. Because these experiences can be life-changing, your Federation provides financial assistance to supporters who want to join a mission.

Building Connections to Worldwide Jewry

Atlanta opens its arms to Jews around the world and is deepening relationships with Israelis through kesher (bridge) programs. Atlanta volunteers ran an English language summer camp in Yokneam, and we are welcoming eight Shinshinim (young Israeli educators) to our community to share Israeli culture in our camps and schools. We also support the revitalization of Jewish life in Central and Eastern European cities, where summer camps and community centers are educating a new generation and sustaining Jewish life. Our investments are paying off — the resilience and resurgence of these communities is remarkable.
