The Making Jewish Place initiative is constantly growing and evolving. As we continue to identify underserved neighborhoods, the relevancy and necessity of opportunities like Making Jewish Places is paramount. Having the ability to create connections with intentionality and empower community members to shape the landscape of their Jewish community is a deeply sought-after gift.
For Hanukkah, Federation awarded 70 Gather Grants of $180 to people in 18 zip codes throughout Atlanta and the Northern Suburbs. Applicants were invited to create welcoming Hanukkah events in their local communities. The warmth and friendliness of these events engaged people of all ages, and fully 92% of participants reported they feel a stronger connection to the Jewish community after attending them.
MJP Gather Grants do not fund political campaigns, capital campaigns, or endowments.
