Meet local leaders, visit Ashkenazi and Sephardic synagogues, and see firsthand how our Federation dollars support impactful initiatives. Enjoy Panama City’s outstanding Kosher cuisine, take a hands-on cooking class with an Israeli chef, experience a VIP tour of the Miraflores Locks, and engage in meaningful volunteer activities. Discover the beauty of Casco Viejo, Gamboa Island, and Punta Pacifica on this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
Trip highlights include learning about Panama City’s vibrant Jewish community, meeting Panamanian Jewish leaders, and seeing Federation-supported initiatives in action.
Participants will tour Ashkenazi and Sephardic synagogues to understand their impact on Jewish life, connect with Jewish women, and hear about their vibrant culture.
The itinerary also features a cooking class in the historic Old Quarter with an Israeli chef, a VIP tour of the Miraflores Locks, hands-on volunteering activities, and the chance to sip coffee from Coffee Time Panama, a delicious Kosher coffee chain.
Explore the picturesque Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as Gamboa Island and Punta Pacifica—where you can even feed the monkeys!
The cost is $4,350 per person for double occupancy, with a single supplement available for $650. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at registration. The payment timeline includes $2,000 due by July 1, 2025, with the final balance due by September 7, 2025. A cancellation policy is available upon request.
The Women’s Philanthropy Journey to Panama City asks all participants to make an individual or household gift of $1800 (Pomegranate level) or more to the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta 2026 Community Campaign. Women who already give at the Pomegranate level are asked to increase their 2026 Campaign gift by 10% over their 2025 commitment. Women who commit to the Pomegranate step up giving program, are also invited to join us.
