Inbar Cohen
Schoenbaum Shinshinit

Hi everyone! My name is Inbar, I’m 18 years old, and I’m so excited to be one of your Shinhinim in Atlanta this year!
I’m from a small town in northern Israel called Nofit, where I live with my amazing family—my mom Hadas, my dad Omri, my older brother Itamar (24), who’s in university, my sister Yaara (21), who’s in the army, and our sweet dog Maily. We’re a really close family and love doing things together like hiking, traveling, and just hanging out.
I’ve been part of the youth movement Hamahanot HaOlim for a few years, where I led activities for sixth graders. It was such a meaningful experience and taught me a lot about responsibility and connecting with younger kids. In general, I love working with people—especially when it’s fun and creative! I’ve also been playing the piano for over nine years, and music is a huge part of my life. When I’m not at the piano, you can usually find me doing Pilates, hiking in nature, drawing, or spending time with friends.
In school, I majored in biology and social sciences, two subjects I found super interesting. I was also part of a program called “Hallelujah,” which focused on leadership, volunteering, and teamwork. Through that, I had the chance to volunteer in different communities and even take part in summer camps, including one outside of Israel. I love meeting new people and learning about their stories, and I hope to bring that same energy and curiosity to my year as a Shinshinit.
I feel so lucky to have this opportunity and love being part of the Atlanta community. I’m enjoying sharing my Israeli life with you, learning about your Jewish experiences, and creating unforgettable memories together. So happy to be here with all of you! 🫶
