Liri Shimron
Schoenbaum Shinshinit

Hi everyone! 🙂 My name is Liri, and I’m beyond excited to be one your next Shinshinim in Atlanta.
I was born and raised in Kfar Saba, which is in the Sharon region of Israel. I’m the third of four siblings—two older brothers, Ori and Elay, who are both 24 (Ori has been living in Orlando, and Elay is currently traveling in South America), and my youngest brother Daniel, who is 14. My mom, Neomy, runs a media business, and my dad, Ophir, works in sales managing connections between Israel and the U.S. Even though we don’t always get to be together, my family is the most important thing in my life, and we always find time to travel and celebrate Shabbat dinners together.
For the past seven years, I’ve been very involved with Krembo Wings, an Israeli inclusive youth movement for kids and teens with and without special needs. I started as a counselor and personal mentor, and in my last year, I was Head of Logistics and Safety at my local branch, which taught me a lot about responsibility and teamwork. I also completed the Keshet Tavor Program, a three-year social leadership initiative where I got to participate in seminars, field trips, and inspiring meetings with Israeli leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. These experiences really shaped my values and my passion for making a difference in my community.
At school, I majored in biology and music, and music is honestly such a big part of who I am. I’ve been playing bass guitar for five years, and I love collecting vinyl records and Hard Rock Cafe shirts from all over the world. In my free time, you’ll usually find me reading, editing short videos, staying active, traveling (both around Israel and abroad), or hanging out with friends. I also really enjoy learning about new cultures and sharing stories about Israeli life.
I’m so excited to spend this year with you all, get to know your community, and create memories that stay with me forever. I love sharing my Israeli culture, celebrating holidays together, and learning from each other. Thank you for welcoming me—I’m so happy to be here with everyone!
