The move from middle school to high school can feel overwhelming—for teens and parents alike. Academic pressure, changing friendships, safety concerns, and new independence all arrive at once.
On March 16, 8th grade teens and their parents are invited to come together for an interactive evening of guidance, honest conversation, and practical tools to navigate this transition—together.
Led by expert speakers and a panel of older teens, this program offers parents insight into how their role shifts during the high school years, while teens hear directly from peers about what to expect and how to thrive.
What we’ll cover:
- A teen panel on building Jewish identity in high school
- Setting healthy academic expectations and reducing pressure
- Parent–teen communication strategies that support independence and resilience
- Digital wellness and healthy technology boundaries
- Exploring meaningful Jewish opportunities for teens across Metro Atlanta
Rooted in Jewish values and supported by the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, this program helps families feel more confident, prepared, and connected as high school approaches.
