About the Film
Step into Fantasy Life, a warm and witty comedy about reinvention, connection, and unexpected family ties. After Sam, a thirty-something paralegal in New York, is laid off and hit with a panic attack, he stumbles into an unlikely new role babysitting his psychiatrist’s three granddaughters for the summer. As he navigates the chaos and charm of their Martha’s Vineyard household, Sam forms an unexpected bond with Dianne, a struggling actress balancing career frustrations and a rocky marriage. Directed and written by Matthew Shear and featuring a standout performance by Amanda Peet alongside an ensemble cast, Fantasy Life is a heartfelt, character-driven story about life’s detours leading to the most meaningful connections.
