Join us for this journey of solidarity and healing!
For 737 days, 49 of the original 250 Israelis taken hostage by Hamas were held in captivity under unimaginable conditions. Through 18 Jewish holidays and 105 Shabbat dinners, Jewish families in Israel and around the world left empty chairs at their tables, wore yellow ribbons on their lapels, and carried fractures in their hearts.
Each of those one million minutes was filled with anguish and uncertainty — wondering if the hostages would live or die, knowing that our people were not whole.
After years of waiting and praying, the surviving hostages have been reunited with their loved ones — filling the empty chairs and beginning the long journey of healing.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta joins Jews everywhere in gratitude for moments of reunion, in remembrance of those lost, and in steadfast solidarity with the families and people of Israel. Together, we honor their courage, resilience, and unwavering faith.
As Israel continues to heal and rebuild, we invite you to stand with us — to bear witness, to connect, and to reaffirm our shared strength and commitment to Israel and her people.
Now is the time to show up: to listen, to learn, and to lend support as we help our extended family in Israel move forward with hope and determination.
