Pomegranate – $1,800+
The pomegranate, an ancient Jewish symbol, is also a modern emblem of Jewish women’s philanthropy and commitment. Women who give at least $1,800 a year to Federation form a community of like-minded donors who do a world of good.
“Growing up in Atlanta I knew to some extent that my family had planted strong roots in the Atlanta Jewish community, and both my mother and grandmother were active Lions. I was more reluctant to be active in Jewish spaces and did not feel a great sense of belonging in the Jewish community. After the pandemic, I allowed myself to be more open to opportunities, and I went on my first women’s philanthropy mission to New Orleans. The women I have met and gotten to know better through these programs are tremendous leaders and contributors to our community in all different possible ways.”
Anna W.
“I believe in the power of women to impact change, build community, and nurture relationships. Women’s Philanthropy provides a platform and a network for connecting with passionate women who are making a difference.”
Stacey S.
“We learn from each other. We grow together. We contribute with passion to our caring and strong community. It’s a gift we create for our children.”
Robin F.
“I’m incredibly proud to be a Lion of Judah and to be part of the inspirational network of women that make up Women’s Philanthropy. My mom made my twin sister and me Lions of Judah for our 21st birthday in honor of our Mimi, Paula Kimerling, who was an active Lion in the Birmingham Jewish community. Since then, we’ve carried on her legacy and the legacy of thousands of other strong Jewish women by giving to the Federation and supporting Jews in need at home, in Israel and around the world. I’m so inspired by my fellow Lions of Judah and all of the passionate women who are involved in Women’s Philanthropy.”
