For more than a century, Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta has helped shape Jewish life across the city. Now you can bring that story to your building. Federation’s 120-year exhibit is a traveling display of eight freestanding banners that tell the story of Jewish Atlanta, from the 1830s to today, through archival photographs and community stories. It is available to host at your synagogue, school, agency, JCC, senior community or event space.
The exhibit follows Jewish Atlanta through the decades, from early Jewish settlers and the first community organizations to the people and milestones that continue to shape the community today. The eight panels are:
- Federation: The Heart of Jewish Atlanta
- Serving a Growing Community (1830s–1930s)
- Post-War Growth (1940s–1950s)
- Change and Consolidation (1960s–1980s)
- A Community Transformed (1990s and beyond)
- Federation’s Five Impact Areas
- Atlanta Jewish Foundation
- It’s Up to You
Visitors of every generation will find something to connect with, whether they’ve lived here for decades or arrived last year.
The exhibit works well on its own in a lobby or hall, and even better as part of something larger. Pair it with:
- A speaker or panel discussion
- A class or school unit on local history
- An anniversary or milestone celebration
- A community gathering or open house
We handle the logistics. Federation coordinates delivery, setup and pickup, and the lightweight panels typically go up in just a few minutes.
The exhibit at a glance
- 8 freestanding panels
- 7′ H × 4′ W per panel
- 32 linear feet when displayed in a full straight run
- 2–4 weeks per host site
The panels can be arranged to fit your space, and Federation will confirm the final layout after reviewing your room.
What we ask of host sites
- Designate one person for scheduling and day-of access
- Provide building access during delivery and pickup
- Reserve a clean, dry interior area with safe room for visitors to move
- Share loading, parking, elevator, doorway and security details in advance
Placements are scheduled in rotation to balance location, timing and community interest, so reach out early to ask about availability. Tell us about your space and what you have in mind, and we’ll help you plan the rest.
