A.J. Robinson is President of Central Atlanta Progress (CAP) and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID), now unified as Downtown Atlanta, Inc. He leads efforts to strengthen Downtown Atlanta through economic development, public safety, infrastructure, mobility, placemaking, and major projects including The Stitch.

Under Robinson’s leadership, CAP and ADID have advanced significant public space, capital improvement, and cultural initiatives. CAP has also helped launch influential organizations including Trees Atlanta, GeorgiaForward, Midtown Alliance and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights (NCCHR) where AJ serves currently as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.

Previously, Robinson served as President of Portman Holdings. He remains active on numerous civic and nonprofit boards and has long been involved in Atlanta’s Jewish community.
