Three Years Later – Rebuilding As One

October 16, 2026

Three years after October 7, the people of Kibbutz Nahal Oz continue the long work of rebuilding. But from the beginning, they have not had to do it alone.

Jewish Atlanta made a commitment to stand with Nahal Oz not only in the immediate aftermath of October 7, but for the years of recovery that would follow. Through Federation and the generosity of our community, that support has helped meet needs not covered by other sources, from bringing the community together to mourn and remember to helping families rebuild the rhythms of everyday life.

In this video, Nahal Oz survivors Yael Raz Lachyani, Naomi Petel Adler and Michal Magen share what rebuilding looks like three years later, and how a partnership that began with support has grown into something deeply personal. As Michal says, “We found friends, not only people behind the money. I’m coming back with more strength because I’m not alone.”
