Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones, but Words Will Never Hurt Me?

Join Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta for our December Community-Wide Security Meeting featuring Dr. Robert R. Friedmann, Founding Director of the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE) and Professor Emeritus of Criminal Justice at Georgia State University.

Words can shape attitudes, influence behavior, heighten tensions, and affect the safety of a community. In this timely conversation, Dr. Friedmann will explore the connection between rhetoric, public safety, and community security, drawing on decades of experience in law enforcement, counterterrorism, community policing, and public-safety leadership.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Friedmann’s perspective on the challenges facing communities today and take part in a thoughtful discussion about how individuals, organizations, and public-safety professionals can better understand and respond to an evolving security environment.
