Laurie Rubin is the Israel Engagement Coordinator for the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, where she leads two key initiatives: the Shinshinim Host Family Program and the Atlanta Israel Gap Year Fellowship.

Passionate about strengthening the connection between Atlanta’s Jewish community and Israel, Laurie is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that inspire lifelong Jewish engagement. She works closely with families, teens, schools, and community partners to expand opportunities for authentic connections with Israel and to help young people explore transformative Israel experiences.

Laurie oversees the Shinshinim Host Family Program, recruiting, supporting, and guiding host families as they welcome Israeli young adults into their homes. As a two-time Shinshinim host parent and longtime Jewish day school mom, she brings firsthand knowledge of the lasting friendships, cultural exchange, and personal growth these experiences create for both the Israeli participants and the families who host them.

Before joining the Federation, Laurie built a diverse career in television production, public relations, and strategic communications, giving her a unique blend of creativity, relationship-building, and community engagement skills.

Laurie lives in Sandy Springs with her husband, their son, and their two adorable rescue dogs.
