Uri

Schoenbaum Shinshin

Hi, I’m Uri. I’m 17 years old, and I’m super excited to be a Shinshin in Atlanta! I live on a farm in the Ramat Hanegev Regional Council called Shahaf Farm. I live there with my parents, siblings, and grandparents, and we are the only people living on the farm. Living on the farm is a huge part of my life. From helping my father milk the cows or weld a gate to taking a trip in our mule car through the dunes, the farm makes a big difference in my everyday life. Being active is super important to me. Whether it’s hiking, running, playing basketball, or riding my motorcycle, I always enjoy being active. Since 4th grade, I’ve been part of the Bnei HaMoshavim youth movement in Mashabei Sade, and since 9th grade, I’ve been a counselor. Being in the youth movement has taught me a lot about responsibility, leadership, and friendship. I’m super excited and so grateful for the opportunity to be in Atlanta as a Shinshin! I really love meeting new people, sharing my story, and getting to know your amazing community.

This is going to be such an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime journey, and I can’t wait to make unforgettable memories with all of you.
