Rick Clark

Executive Director of Strategic Student Access at Georgia Tech

As a thought leader in college admissions and the common application, Rick Clark travels annually to U.S. embassies around the world to discuss the U.S. college admission process.

Clark has served on advisory and governing boards at the state, regional, and national levels. He is the co-author of The Truth about College Admission: A Family Guide to Getting in and Staying Together and a companion workbook, published under the same title from Johns Hopkins University Press. He is also the creator of the Georgia Tech Admission Blog and the College Admission Brief Podcast. A native of Atlanta, Clark earned a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.Ed. from Georgia State University.

Jed Applerouth, PhD

Founder and President of Applerouth Tutoring

Dr. Applerouth is a teacher, educational innovator, and our founder. A Nationally Certified Counselor with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Jed has researched student cognition, memory, motivation, and learning strategies to enhance Applerouth's pedagogical strategies. Jed continually seeks new ways to improve the methods and materials we use, researching the most innovative ways to keep his tutors on the cutting edge of the education industry.

Terri Jacobson, MEd

Founder and Lead Coach, Apogee College Prep

Terri is a native Atlantan and veteran educator with a demonstrated history of working with high school and college-aged students on admission to undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs in the US. She possesses a Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia State University and has over 20 years of public and private school teaching, including at Jewish day school. She and her team are skilled in college and graduate admissions and help to manage the delicate parent-student relationship during the application process when students are in high school. Terri is passionate about equitable higher education opportunities for all students despite the resources or learning differences they possess.

Alyse Levine

Founder & CEO of Premium Prep College Counseling

Alyse Levine is one of the foremost college counseling experts in the country and the Founder & CEO of Premium Prep. Prior to founding the company, Alyse was Associate Director of College Counseling at The Dalton School in New York City for over 10 years, was Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Washington University in St. Louis, and was Associate Director of College Counseling at the Dwight–Englewood School, in Englewood, New Jersey. Alyse also served on the selection committee for the prestigious Robertson Scholars Program, a highly selective full-tuition scholarship collaboration between Duke University and the University of North Carolina, and was recently invited to participate in the Advisory Council for East Chapel Hill High School and BBYO Women’s Leadership Initiative.

Amy Secor

Dean of College Advising, The Weber School

Amy Secor has dedicated the past 25 years to education, beginning as an AP teacher (Biology, Psychology, and Environmental Science) before transitioning to Class Dean and then to College Counseling, a role she's held for the past 15 years. Her experience spans Pace Academy (Atlanta), The Winchester Thurston School (Pittsburgh), and The Weber School, where she has served as Director of College Counseling for six years. Additionally, she is the parent of a high school junior, offering her a dual perspective on the college admissions process.
