Lion of Judah and Pomegranate Luncheon

September 16 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta Women’s Philanthropy as we honor and recognize our generous Lion of Judah and Pomegranate donors. Connect with women who care deeply for their community, learn how your philanthropy meets critical needs, and leave inspired by our featured speakers: Forum for Reservists’ Wives – Fighting for Our Homes.

At this year’s Fall Luncheon, we are honored to welcome powerful voices from the Forum for Reservists’ Wives – Fighting for Our Homes, a grassroots movement born from the unimaginable reality facing so many Israeli families since October 7. As thousands of IDF reservists rushed to defend Israel, their families were left behind—mothers suddenly parenting alone, holding down jobs, and carrying the emotional burden of fear and uncertainty. These women became the quiet heroes of this war.

We will hear firsthand from one of these courageous couples—an IDF reservist and his wife—as well as the inspiring women who created the Forum to fight for their rights, dignity, and future. Their stories are raw, real, and unforgettable. The Forum has become a leading national voice for military reservists’ families and is proudly supported by the Jewish Federations of North America’s $800 million Israel Emergency Campaign—a campaign you helped make possible.

Thanks to presenting sponsor Tal Baum, the Forum’s CEO, Miriam Amedi, and several speaker representatives will join us in Atlanta on September 16 to share their lived experiences. Their presence offers a rare and meaningful opportunity to show our most treasured donors exactly where their dollars go—through real, emotional, and deeply human stories of impact. In addition to the luncheon, the group hopes to spend several days here to engage in smaller gatherings and intimate conversations throughout our community.

Their voices are a living reminder of what it means to stand with our people in their time of need.
