About Amy

Amy Murphy, Manager of Jewish Abilities Atlanta, is a leader in developing programmatic strategies, teaching inclusion best practices, and promoting equality in the Atlanta Jewish community. Under her leadership, JAA advocates for informed decision-making and autonomy for individuals with disabilities, shaping the community’s mindset and influencing policy.

With over 30 years in Disability and Inclusion, Amy previously directed the Blonder Family Department at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta. Returning to the US in 2021 from Ireland, where Amy worked with progressive disability organizations, fostering equal rights and inclusion. Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Amy, an Appalachian State University graduate, is passionate about sea swimming and remains committed to advancing inclusivity and equality in communities.
