Angelena May is the Early Childhood Jewish Education Coordinator at The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, where she plays a pivotal role in enhancing Jewish educational experiences across the region. Based in Atlanta, GA, Angelena draws on her extensive background as a Mentor Teacher at university preschools, including the University of California, Davis, and Emory University. She is passionate about mentoring educators and supporting directors in their efforts to create high-quality, nurturing environments for young learners.

Originally from northern California, Angelena received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Child Development from California State University, Sacramento. Angelena moved to Atlanta three years ago and has embraced her new city by exploring its diverse neighborhoods, trying out new restaurants, and enjoying long walks. In her current role, she is dedicated to strengthening the Jewish early childhood education sector by focusing on teacher recruitment and retention, increasing accessibility, and investing in professional development. Angelena’s work aims to ensure a vibrant future for early childhood Jewish education in Atlanta.
