Come as you are and connect with parents of new babies. Being a new parent is often equal parts beautiful, rewarding and lonely. This group will meet weekly for 6 classes and will offer education, support, and connection for those looking for information and community. It is also a place where information will be shared but not pushed so that parents can decide what works best for their family. Our small group will be a mix of all the best parts of connecting with other parents and exploring and learning with your little one.

The Brookhaven/Dunwoody series is best suited for babies 0-1 and a parent.

The Decatur/Intown series is best suited for mothers and babies who are not yet crawling.

Decatur/Intown Group

Friday at 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Led by Taryn Rioseco, Postpartum and Parenting Coach, and a certified in Hand in Hand parenting instructor, and Founder of Here We Grow.

This circle is a space specifically for mothers to gather and offload what’s challenging and celebrate what’s going well. So many speak of the immediate profound love and connection a mother feels to her newborn but not as many share the hardships. It’s about starting to feel confident and trusting those maternal instincts that are born on the same day the baby arrives. Each class is 1 hour long and will include 10 min of facilitated “mommy and me” music and interactive play.

Session 1: Transition into Motherhood

Creating a space to connect with other new mothers and your baby, highlighting the epic transition of moving from ‘maiden to mother’.

Session 2: Attachment, Bonding and Connection

Understanding the relationship between mother and baby and how secure attachment and using “connection” as a primary parenting tool can lead to a lifelong bond.

Session 3: Development with a PT

Learn more about behavioral, physical, social, and cognitive development that help your baby build the skills they need to explore the world around them.

Session 4: Parenting with a Partner

Dynamics may change with a new baby and in this session, we explore how you are renegotiating your relationship once baby arrives.

Session 5: Routines and Rituals

Explore the importance of routine in your baby’s day to day and how you can incorporate some of Judaism’s meaningful rituals right from the start.

Session 6: Mindfulness

Discuss the need for self-care in parenting.
