Women’s Philanthropy Fall Event Featuring Ana Sazonov

October 26, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Celebrate incredible female leadership.

Join us at Temple Sinai for an evening of storytelling and recognition of two extraordinary women; Linda Selig, Atlanta Federation’s Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland award winner, and Karen Paz, a long-time Atlanta Jewish Communal Professional. Our keynote speaker is Ana Sazonov, one of the Southeast’s most prominent voices on the Ukrainian refugee crisis.

Ana Sazonov is the Executive Director of the Columbia Jewish Federation in South Carolina and one of the Southeast’s most prominent voices on the humanitarian crisis facing Ukrainians as they flee from the war. This issue is deeply personal to her: Ana is Ukrainian, herself.

Come hear Ana’s incredible story of going from hiding to providing and leave inspired by the power of global Jewish peoplehood

Supporting Federation means supporting people in need all over the world, and Ana wants people to understand how meaningful their time and donations are to those who are struggling. “People need to keep Ukrainians in their hearts, their minds, and their actions. That’s how we make a difference.”

No minimum gift required to attend. You will have an opportunity to make your gift to the 2023 Community Campaign at the event.

We will recognize Linda Selig who is Atlanta Federation’s Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland award winner, a national honor for extraordinary women who have set a high standard for philanthropy and volunteerism. Linda will receive her award at the Lion of Judah Conference in Phoenix in December.

We will also pay tribute to Karen Paz, a long time Atlanta Jewish Communal Professional, who is retiring this fall. To honor Karen’s lifelong service to our Jewish community, an endowment fund, The Karen Botnick Paz Jewish Abilities Fund, to be held at the Atlanta Jewish Foundation (AJF), has been established. Each year, the income from this Fund will be granted to Federation’s Jewish Abilities Atlanta Initiatives.

Providing menstrual supplies to Atlantans who cannot afford them through our Project Dignity initiative is a major focus of Women’s Philanthropy. Please join us in helping the community by bringing supplies to donate. We will be collecting tampons and pads at the event. Pads are needed most.

Questions? Please contact Becca Langfelder. For directions to Temple Sinai, see the bottom of this page.

If you are new to the Community and learning about Federation’s mission, we invite you to join us as a guest. The discounted couvert of $36 is available to you thanks to our generous sponsors of this event.

Registration is now full.
