Mitzvah Makers: Baking for Good
Congregation Shearith Israel | Sunday, December 8 | 2-4 pm | Free
This year we are taking our PJ Our Way families on a journey of doing good, working together, and of course, having fun! Kids age 8-12, join your PJ Our Way friends for an afternoon of baking muffins, all to be packaged for a local homeless shelter.
Baking for Good is inspired by National Muffin Day, celebrated in February and co-founded by local Atlantan and co-founder of Tradition Kitchens, Julia Levy. For 5 years, thousands of volunteer bakers have gathered to bake muffins for people experiencing homelessness. These volunteers have provided over 15,000 muffins to people in 35 cities and raised thousands of dollars for causes related to homelessness.
