At this critical moment in our national story, questions of “who belongs here?” and “who are the stakeholders who get to make decisions?” drive our national discourse.
Join 18Doors, the Atlanta Jews of Color Council, and SOJOURN (Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender & Sexual Diversity) for a conversation about how belonging and interconnectedness are at the core of the communities that we build – communities in which all can feel a sense of belonging, including interfaith couples and families, Jews of color, and LGBTQ+ Jews.
Bring your lunch and join us on Zoom for this Lunch & Learn webinar, where we’ll learn from data of who is in our communities (and who is not showing up), our own personal stories of finding a sense of belonging, and the Torah of belonging.
What is Embark?
It’s an opportunity for you to build community with other couples in their 20s & 30s while experimenting with how Judaism can be meaningful to you. With groups meeting across many cities, including Atlanta, you’ll be able to get to know other couples in the same situation as you, plus meet with a mentor!
The Temple’s Israel Trip for Interfaith Couples
Sponsored by Leah and Richard Davis, this is the third cohort of a trip designed to introduce young interfaith couples to Israel. Led by Rabbi Loren Filson Lapidus, we will explore numerous parts of Israel, have conversations about how this relates to our respective faith traditions and families, and make new friends within our Temple community.
