B’ruchim Habaim (Welcome) to Atlanta’s New Shinshinim
Today is Day One for Atlanta’s new cohort of ten Shinshinim, our largest group yet of young Israeli ambassadors! They all land at Hartsfield Jackson tonight and will start settling in with their host families across the metro area, including North Metro, Toco Hills, and the core suburbs of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. Their first group activity will be attending Limmud Atlanta up at Ramah Darom where they’ll be running youth programming, teaching sessions, learning along with other participants and making friends with members of our Jewish community. Then it’s on to their primary work for the 2019-2020 school year with our Jewish day schools, synagogues, youth programs, and with older adults.
Say hello to a Shinshin! Invite one of these engaging teenagers for meals, apply to be a host family, or a mentor. Contact Ezra Flom, Atlanta Shinshinim Program Director for more possibilities.
