Organizational Gather Grant Details

What organizations are eligible to receive an Organizational Gather Grant?

Any Jewish nonprofit organization in the Greater Atlanta area can apply to receive an Organizational Gather Grant. This includes organizations in Gwinnett, Fulton, Cobb, Dekalb, Clayton, Cherokee, Forsyth, Henry, Douglas, Fayette, Paulding, Coweta counties, and beyond!

What does the event need to look like? How Jewish does it need to be?

“Doing Jewish” means something different for every organization – and it’s that unique expression of Judaism that Gather Grants wants to support. Our request is that you plan an experience that is comfortable and meaningful for the people who will attend your event – which means the opportunities are endless!

Who and how many people must attend my organization’s event?

There is no minimum or maximum number of people who must attend your organization’s event. However, grant recipients must report attendee numbers and provide attendee contact information as part of the grant agreement. Event attendees may include adults and children.

How must my organization spend the grant money?

Your organization can spend the grant money in whatever way you need to bring your event to life! Some examples include event-related food, supplies, vendors, entertainment, security, and swag. Grant funds may not be used to cover your organization’s general operating costs. You will provide an estimated expense budget and explain how you will use funds within the application.

What exactly do selected organizations receive?

  • $500 – $5000: Individual organizations may apply to receive up to $2500. Events that include more than one organizational host may apply to receive up to $5000.
  • Help bringing your event to life: Event planning guidance, marketing support, vendor contacts, help to secure spaces, administrative support, community contacts, etc.
  • Event marketing via Federation email and social media
