David comes to the Federation with decades of leadership experience in the profit and nonprofit world. Some of David’s relevant experiences include serving as JFNA National Young Leadership Cabinet Co-chair from 2003-2004, JFNA National Campaign chair from 2007-2009, as well as having served on numerous local Cincinnati (his native home town), Atlanta and national Jewish non-profit boards. Foundation for Jewish Camp, iCenter, OneTable, the JDC, JFNA, Weber School, Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta are just a few of those boards. From 2012 to 2016, David served as the President and CEO of the Birthright Israel Foundation, during which the foundation secured more than $500MM in contributions and sent more than 200,000 young Jewish adults to Israel.
In his business career, David has served as the President of Atlanta based, Berman Capital Advisors, Executive Managing Director of Cresset, the Managing Partner of Coalesce Advisors and prior to his time at Birthright Israel and moving to Atlanta, he served in several senior leadership roles in family held businesses in Cincinnati. David and his wife Stacey have four adult children, two of whom are engaged to be married in early 2025.
